Geek Actually Episode 19 – The Politically Incorrect Christmas Special

Geek ActuallyHosts: David McVay, Mirren Lee, Jacob Oberman and Nicholas McVay

The gang’s all here on this wild and fun Christmas special. Hard news mostly takes a break this episode as we celebrate our last episode for the year. It is the Christmas season, so all the hosts share their lists of viewing – the good, the bad and the down right ugly!

Mirren and David review the new Ricky Gervais film “Ghost Town” and David reviews “Zack and Miri Make a Porno”.

We, at “Geek, Actually”, want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. We will return January 6th, 2009.

This episode carries an explicit tag due to possible, infrequent, bad language.

  1. Just a quick update: In the show I say that “Santa Claus : The Movie” is directed by Phil Joanou, this is a mistake! “Santa Claus : The Movie” and “Supergirl” were actually directed by Jeannot Szwarc. I had a momentary brain failure, sorry Mr Szwarc for not giving you the correct credit and sorry to Phil Joanou for blaming you for these films :-)

    Hey,

Just wanted to thank you for the netcasts. I always look forward to them but never comment because I’m usually listening while I’m out walking the dog and forget what I wanted to say by the time I’m back to the computer. (I’m getting used the looks I get too as I laugh out loud while walking along).

Your line up is great: Mirren is completely without boundaries in the best possible way, Jacob tries to be the calm voice of reason, Little Geek is so beautifully ‘in the moment’ (and impressively knowledgeble) and David manages to contain the chaos without stifling the fun.

Really looking forward to the additional ‘showcase’ netcasts next year. Keep up the good work. It’s going to be long two weeks walking without you but have a fantastic CHRISTMAS and enjoy your well-earned break.

    Cheers

  3. Thanks for the nice words Betty, but fear not, the blog continues as normal and it really is just a short two weeks until we return.

I don’t think you’ll miss us too much though as those little small things like Christmas and New Years should keep you busy :-)
