Clue is coming to the big screen…again

February 26, 2009

clueGore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean) is set to Direct a big screen adaptation of the board game Clue (Cluedo for the Australians). If this sounds familiar, it is. John Landis directed a big screen version of the game in 1985.

Why is this a good idea? That’s it. No funny remarks or comments from me, I actually want to know. So comments are welcome, tell me if you think this is a good idea.

According to Variety, Clue will be turned into a mystery that Blind Wink’s (the production company) Jonathan Krauss called “A global thriller and transmedia event that uses deductive reasoning as its storytelling engine.”

I’m sorry but ‘global’ and ‘transmedia’ are not words that I would use to describe Clue. Wasn’t the game set in one house?

Samuel L. Jackson IS Nick Fury!

February 26, 2009

Samuel Jackson as Nick FuryA few weeks ago it was reported everywhere that Samuel L. Jackson was having ‘issues’ with Marvel Productions and was not going to return as Nick Fury in the Iron Man Sequel or The Avengers movie. Well, it was reported today that Marvel and Jackson have worked out their differences and Jackson has signed a 9 picture deal with Marvel and will Play Nick Fury in Iron Man 2.

The Character of Nick Fury is the leader of the espionage unit S.H.I.E.L.D. which features heavily in the Marvel comics universe. Jackson appeared as Nick Fury in the post credit sequence of the first Iron Man movie to tease us about a possible The Avengers movie.

This new deal with Marvel means that Jackson will most likely appear as Fury in the future, The Avengers, movie and many other Marvel franchises, including The First Avenger: Captain AmericaThor and possibly top-lining a possible S.H.I.E.L.D. movie and potential sequels.

iLife ‘09 rocks!!

February 20, 2009

A couple of weeks ago, me and my dad, The Big Geek, bought iLife ‘09 and it is really cool. I like iMovie ‘09, it is better than iMovie ‘08 because it felt to me that I couldn’t do much with iMovie ‘08. But iMovie ‘o9 is like Final Cut Express but easier to use. And my dad likes iPhoto ‘o9 a lot because of the face recognition. I really like it too.

Dad and I talk about iLife ‘09 in the latest episode of Geek Actually (episode 26), check it out for more detail.
