Geek Actually Episode 63 – Let’s Go See A Talkie

New Geek Actually Cover ArtHosts: David McVay, Josh Philpott and Dave Kozicki

The Geek Actually Podcast is recorded live on Ustream with chat interaction.

This week David, Josh and Dave talk politics as a new Australian political party starts that has some very interesting policies regarding censorship and equality. We also take a look at some television and review not one but two new films. A shout out to our friends at The Reel Junkies Podcast at weekendronin.com and The Movie Fan House Podcast at moviefanhouse.com.

Gaming News: The Australian Sex Party puts up candidates for the bi-elections here in Australia and they have good news for gamers.

The Great Internet Tech War of 2009: Verizon wins as AT&T withdraws it’s lawsuit but Droid fires back at Apple.

Entertainment News This Week: We have a discussion about ABC’s new remake of ‘V’ and Dave tells us about the new Family Guy soecial ‘Something, Something, Something Darkside’.

Feature Reviews: This week we enjoy the very tasty ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 3D’ and have mixed feelings about ‘Gamer’. From a film making point of view ‘Gamer’ is a very flawed film, but from a geeks point of view it is a fun ride.

I have put up a separate post that contains the various media clips we played during the show for out audio only listeners. You can view it here.

This episode carries an explicit tag due to infrequent coarse language.
