Hosts: David McVay, Josh Philpott and Dave Kozicki
The Geek Actually Podcast is recorded live on Ustream with chat interaction.
This week David, Josh and Dave make up for missing last weeks show with two feature reviews ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ and ‘Up in the Air’. A shout out to our friends at The Reel Junkies Podcast at weekendronin.com and The Movie Fan House Podcast at moviefanhouse.com.
News: Tim Burton remakes ‘Sleeping Beauty’, Danny Elfman’s music back in ‘The Wolfman’, ‘Clash of the Titans’ and ‘Harry Potter’ get the 3D treatment and ‘Green Lantern’ concept art leaked. We also take a look at the trailers for ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Knight and Day’ and the leaked ‘Piranha 3D’.
This Week in Television: On the eve of the last ever episode, the two Daves examine the final days of’ ‘Dollhouse’ and the state of the current season of ‘Chuck’.
This Week’s Feature Review: This week we look at two feature films. First up ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ which starts strong and falls apart about half way through. Wait for DVD to enjoy a good performance by Gerard Butler. Then we move on to Jason Reitman’s new film ‘Up in the Air’ starring George Clooney. This is a wonderful, charming and grown up movie that is highly recommended to all. George Clooney is pitch perfect in the role.

No show this this week due to weather
January 22, 2010
Sorry to do this to guys but we have cancel the show this week because of extremely hot weather and we are concerned about the equipment. The temperature is predicted to be 40 degrees (celsius) tomorrow (and the studio gets hotter than that!) and the programs we run to make Geek Actually possible are very CPU intensive. The computers get really hot on a normal day so I am predicting big time crashes if we try and do this tomorrow.
The weather breaks on Sunday so Platforms goes ahead as normal and Geek Actually will be back next week.

Reflection of the Week: With the release of Army of Two – 40th Day, the boys take a trip down memory lane and discuss the first Army of Two game.
Review of the Week: This week, an in depth review of Army of Two – 40th Day. We start this off with one of the strangest ad campaigns for the game. Dave K., Nathan and Josh liked the game but the single button control system could cause problems.

We Need Your Help
January 19, 2010
Hi, just a quick beg to get me through the day. We are trying to improve our video shows and we need help from you, the viewers. We need a couple pieces of equipment, they’re not expensive but funds are tight. If you guys and girls (our beloved listeners and viewers) could help us out with a few bucks it would really help. Any size donation is welcome, even a couple of bucks each would help us out. We need to raise $190 minimum to purchase the equipment. Help us Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re our only hope.
