Feature Review

‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ directed by Niels Arden Oplev. The film was written by Nikolaj Arcel and Rasmus Heisterberg based on the novel by Stieg Larsson. The film stars Michael Nyqvist, Noomi Rapace, Lena Endre, Peter Haber, Sven-Bertil Taube, Peter Andersson and Thomas Köhler.

It has been forty years since Harriet Vanger disappeared from the family home. Her uncle hires a tenacious but disgraced investigative reporter, Mikael Blomkvist, to take one more look into the case. Mikael is soon joined by the rough and tough goth chick and super hacker Lisbeth Salander and the two of them sleuth it out to discover what no one else seemed to be able to work out in all those years, this family is really dysfunctional.

Our verdict? Not great, not bad just a very mediocre police procedural that could have been cut by 45 minutes and not lost anything story wise. Wait for DVD.
