iPad gets Australian pricing a couple of days early!
Apple was suppose to release the iPad prices for Australia on the 10th of May, but for some reason (only known to Apple) the prices came out today. Okay so what are we looking at?
The prices are almost exactly what Josh, Shane and I predicted on Geek Actually Tech several weeks ago. Below I have laid out all the prices for both the wi-fi model and the 3G model.
For more details on the unit itself, shoot over to Apple. Okay on to the prices:
Wi-Fi models:
16GB: AU$629
32GB: AU$759
64GB: AU$879
Wi-Fi + 3G models
16GB: AU$799
32GB: AU$928
64GB: AU$1049
The iPad will be in-stores May 28th and there are currently 5,000 iPad specific apps in the iTunes app store and 200,000 iPhone/iPod Touch apps that will also work with the device.
Help Geek Actually grab an iPad so we can review it on the show, we accept donations of any size.

On the next episode of Film Actually we review "Dark Shadows" and "Safe". Look for the podcast May 15th.
Grab the podcast here or on
Because "Iron Man 3" is said to be based on it, on the next Behind the Panels, Richard and David take an in depth look at Warren Ellis' "The Invincible Iron Man: Extremis" (or issues 1 through 6 of volume 4). Read the book (or books) and join us for a deep and spoiler riddled discussion. The podcast will be available May 20th.
