Trailer: Uwe Boll’s new film ‘Auschwitz’ – Disturbing Stuff

Before we go any further, the teaser trailer below is graphically disturbing, so if you are sensitive, best to turn away now.

Here is the teaser trailer for Uwe Boll’s new film ‘Auschwitz’, wait don’t run away yet! Like ‘Rampage’ before it, this actually looks like it might have some merit. It would seem we have two versions of Uwe Boll on our hands: cheap and nasty Uwe who produces crap like ‘Bloodrayne’ and ‘Postal’ and a somber more controlled Uwe who produces films like ‘Rampage’, ‘Tunnel Rats and now ‘Auschwitz’. I recently had the chance to watch ‘Rampage’ and I found it quite engaging and disturbing. I think Uwe has this dark side that he only lets out every now and again.

Well, if you’ve stayed this long, I guess you want to see the trailer. Before that let’s have the man, Uwe Boll, himself tell us what it is all about:

It’s in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, Tunnelrats, Heart of America…it shows Auschwitz as this what it was: a meatplant for humans…a death factory.

With that in mind, here is the rather dark and disturbing teaser for ‘Auschwitz’:

This film walks a very fine line, on one hand it could be a dark, intense historical piece that is just to remind us of what happened during WWII, on the other hand it could be a cheap exploitation film that just offends every person of Jewish faith. I guess we wait and see. What did you all think? Comment below.

Dunno about this. The fact that he felt the need for the teaser to be as graphic as it is means, to me, that this will just be another “look at the horrors of war/genocide! Isn’t it terrible?!!!” film rather than an intelligent comment shedding light on what happened. I’ll stick to films like “Defiance” thanks.
