REPLAY – Geek Actually Live Video Shows for August 6th, 2011

Here are this week’s live shows presented in the same order that we recorded them. We start with the all new Geek Actually and then move onto Film Actually. Because the show is live, you get it here with all the mistakes intact.

The Geek Actually podcasts are recorded live every Saturday from 12pm (AEST) or UTC +10 at geekactually.com/live

Check the individual audio show posts for the show notes. Watch the videos below.

Geek Actually Ep142 – Don’t Give The Ape An AK-47

This week on David and Josh are joined by Richard Gray (theReelBits.com) for a look at the week in geek, including: Geek Actually, iPhone 5 knock offs already out in the wild, Adobe Edge might be a Flash killer, Microsoft unleashes the Gmail Man, Samsung Galaxy 10.1 delayed in Australia because of Apple lawsuit, a Swedish man tries to build a nuclear reactor in his kitchen and human tissue Jello.

Film Actually Ep142 – Rise of the Planet of the Apes

This week David and Josh are joined by Richard Gray (theReelBits.com) for a review of “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. They also take a look at some entertainment news, including some new images from “The Man of Steel” & “The Dark Knight Rises” that reveal Superman’s costume and the new Catwoman. We also take a look at the trailer for George Lucas’ new production “Red Tails”. All this and we still have time for an all new Lists of Five: Five Great Animal Movies.

All Geek Actually shows carry an explicit tag due to infrequent coarse language.
