FIRST CLIP: Burning Man

One of the great joys I have had this year was seeing Burning Man, the new film by Jonathan Teplitzky. I had lost a lot of faith in the Australian film industry and then this film comes along and just blew me away. Our friends over at Paramount Pictures have made a clip available from the film for you to see. This is a must see film this year.

Watch the site this week as I had a chance to sit down and have a chat with director/writer Teplizky and star Bojana Novakovic and I’ll be posting that video soon. In the meantime, have a look at the video below.

Burning Man is the reckless, sexy, funny, moving and ultimately life-affirming story of Tom, a British chef in a Bondi restaurant, who seems to have decided there are no longer any rules he needs to obey. Whatever Tom is up to, his actions seem to be tolerated by those around him. As Tom descends into darkness, fragments of a different story begin to emerge. All the women in his world are trying in their own, very different ways to help put him back together.

Written and directed by Jonathan Teplitzky. It stars Matthew Goode, Bojana Novakovic, Essie Davis, Kerry Fox and Rachel Griffiths.

Burning Man will be released in Australia on the 17th of November.
