Your Show Notes:

What We’ve Been Watching:

A collection of other things we’ve been watching during the week. David tells us about “Contraband” (not very good) and “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” (Very good). Josh tells us about his continuing experiences with the 90s TV series “American Gothic” and in Josh’s Bargain Basement we hear all about “The Experiment”.

Feature Film Review

‘Gone’ directed by Heitor Dhalia and written by Allison Burnett. It stars Amanda Seyfried, Daniel Sunjata, Sebastian Stan, Jennifer Carpenter, Michael Paré and Wes Bentley.

When her sister disappears, Jill is convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years ago has returned, and she sets out to once again face her abductor. Source: IMDB

Spoiler Section: 31:14 – 38:18 – Fast forward this bit if you don’t want to hear spoilers.

Our Verdict: A completely un-thrilling thriller that is so badly written it will make you want to watch “The Happening”. Avoid.

Lists of Five

This week our Lists of Five: Five Films We Knew Would Blow Just By Watching The Trailer. Movie trailers are supposed to sell us the film but every now and again you watch a trailer and just say to yourself, “oh this movie is going to blow”… oh, who are we kidding, it happens more than not. Here are five of them.
Just a reminder, because we never like to just make things easy on ourselves, our lists are not necessarily top five lists, they are more or a less a list of film recommendations within the theme of the list.

We opened the show with a clip from “LifeForce” because, quite frankly, “Gone” makes it look good.

Because the score to “Gone” was boring as crap, we are closing the show with a track from the score to “The Town” also written by David Buckley.
