American Ultra is a fast-paced action comedy about Mike Howell (Jesse Eisenberg) a seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner whose simple life with his girlfriend, Phoebe (Kirsten Stewart), is suddenly turned upside down.
Ordinarily, Mike spends most of his time getting stoned and writing a never-to-be-published graphic novel about a superhero monkey. Unbeknownst to him, he is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent. In the blink of an eye, Mike is thrust into the middle of a deadly government operation. To survive, he must summon his inner action-hero and take on the CIA agents who have targeted him for termination.
