Tech News

Julia Gillard is the new Prime Minister – How is this relevant to us geeks? She will be changing up the ministers for her new cabinet, there is a possibility that Stephen Conroy would be replaced as communications minister and that would be big news. The new PM is also agnostic which hopefully means that god and religion will be taken out of the rhetoric.

Film Review

‘Toy Story 3’ directed by Lee Unkrich. The film was written by Michael Arndt, John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich. The film stars Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr and Mrs Potatohead, Jessie, Rex, Hamm… sorry let’s try that again. The film stars the returning voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, and Jodi Benson. They are joined by newcomers to the series Ned Beatty, Michael Keaton, Timothy Dalton, Whoopi Goldberg and Javier Fernandez Pena.

The Toys are back for this finale to the Toy Story tale. Now that Andy is all grown up what happens to the toys? The Attic, trash or donation. The Toys find themselves donated to a gulag, also known as a daycare centre. Adventure ensues as the toys live in a post Andy world. Watch the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNMpa5yBf5o

The rumour of a ‘Toy Story 4’ not true
http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/06/18/another-toy-story-film-in-june-2011/

Our Verdict: Pixar does it again. The film is a wonderful experience for children and adults. Woody, Buzz and rest of the gang are still fresh and fun and this film is a perfect end to the ‘Toy Story’ trilogy. Highly recommended, it will probably end up being one of the top 5 films of the year.

This episode carries an explicit tag due to infrequent coarse language.
