Hosted by: David McVay, Josh Philpott & Calum Wilson Austin
Welcome to the Geek Actually After Show. This un-stuctured and un-planned podcast is what what you get after we finish recording the two main shows Tech Actually and Film Actually. We basically just leave the mics on and record whatever we feel like talking about. This show gives us a chance to talk about anything that didn’t fit into the format of the main shows.
The Geek Actually After Show is recorded live on Saturdays around 2.30pm (AEST UTC+10). Go to geekactually.com/live to watch it live.
This week our ramblings included:
The start of the Fall TV Season (new seasons of Modern Family, Chuck, How I Met You Mother and House to start with).
David’s first thoughts on the new British TV series, Sherlock – Thanks go out to Dave Kozicki for recommending this.
Intel’s new CPU pricing scheme.
How did The Last Airbender hold up on a second viewing?
And we have a discussion about the double standards demonstrated by the censors when it comes to un-simulated sex in mainstream movies (like ‘9 Songs’, ‘All About Anna’, ‘Romance’ and ‘Short Bus’ to name a few). When isn’t it just porn?
As always this episode carries an explicit tag due to some bad language.
