New Redband Trailer: Your Highness

Well, here is the second Red Band trailer for the film that looks like it was written by two fifteen year old boys, “Your Highness”. I am having such a hard time getting excited about this film, I am getting such a bad feeling from it.

It is a shame that this film isn’t scoring well with me because I like everyone involved with it, Danny McBride was awesome in “Tropic Thunder” and “Pineapple Express” and James Franco is a personal favourite at the moment and after “127 Hours” I’d pretty much watch him do anything, except host the Oscars again. I have been a fan of Natalie Portman since she first appeared in “Leon: The Professional” and last, but not least, director David Gordon Green did a great job on “Pineapple Express”. Add to all of this awesome Zooey Deschanel and blatant pointless nudity and swearing and I should be jumping up and down and pre-ordering tickets, but I’m not. This film is a case where all the good bits don’t seem to fit together as a whole for me. The trailers have left me cold, especially the Red Band ones.

The vibe I am getting from this film is the same vibe I got from Cheech & Chong’s “The Corsican Brothers” back in 1984, and that can’t be a good thing – my spider sense is tingling people, danger ahead. Watch the trailer below and drop me a comment. Am I crazy? Do you think this will hit or miss?
