What We’ve Been Watching including Josh’s Bargain Basement:
A collection of other things we’ve been watching during the week: Richard and David talk about “The Vow” and Josh’s Bargain Basement film this week is the remake of “The Manchurian Candidate”.
Feature Film Review
‘Safe House’ directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by David Guggenheim. It stars Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Brendan Gleeson, Vera Farmiga, Robert Patrick, Ruben Blades and Sam Shepard.
A young CIA agent is tasked with looking after a fugitive in a safe house. But when the safe house is attacked, he finds himself on the run with his charge. Source: IMDB
Spoiler Section: 29:42 – 38:10 – Fast forward this bit if you don’t want to hear spoilers.
Our Verdict: A fast paced crowd pleaser with solid performances and good solid action. It’s only after the film is over that you start wondering how to fill the plot holes.

Lists of Five:
This week our Lists of Five: Top Five Tony Scott Films Not Directed By Tony Scott. There are times when you see an action movie and you just say to yourself, “gosh, I didn’t know this was directed by Tony Scott” only to find out in the credits that it wasn’t *cough* Safe House *cough*. Here are five more. This week’s list was requested by Matt over at mattsmoviereview.net.
Just a reminder, because we never like to just make things easy on ourselves, our lists are not necessarily top five lists, they are more or a less a list of film recommendations within the theme of the list.
