Boy that was fast, only last week we posted the teaser trailer for Joel and Ethan Coen’s remake of ‘True Grit’ starring Jeff Bridges, Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Brolin, Matt Damon and Barry Pepper. Now a new full theatrical trailer is out and it is amazing. This is fast becoming my most anticipated film of the year. Enjoy the trailer below and tell us what you though in the comments below.

Trailer: Burke & Hare
John Landis was once considered one of the 1970’s and early 1980’s wonder kid directors along with the likes of Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, William Friedkin and Martin Scorsese. He had racked up massive hits with ‘Animal House’, ‘American Werewolf in London’, ‘Kentucky Fried Movie’ and ‘Trading places’. He also scored massive cult points with ‘The Blues Brothers’ which was a flop on first release but has gone on to be a huge international hit on home video and late night cinema screenings.
He ran into huge problems in 1983 when a halicopter accident on the ‘Twilight Zone: The Movie’ set killed actor Vic Morrow and two children, the accident landed Landis and four others in court on manslaughter charges. They were finally acquitted of all charges in 1986 but during those years Landis was positive he was facing jail time and was a prolific filmmaker to make sure his family had enough money while he was away. During those years he continued his hit making with ‘Three Amigos’, ‘Into The Night’ and ‘Spies Like Us’. Continue reading

The Last Airbender: Disaster or Misunderstood Masterpiece?
Throughout the ages there has been many misunderstood prophets. Socrates was laugh at and mocked, Einstein was thought a fool and even Led Zeppelin were called crazy for their attempts to revolutionize music. Led Zeppelin and M. Night in the same sentence? Sacrilege you cry? Well, read on and let me better explain.
When going to this film I believed that I was fully prepared for anything I was going to see. Rotten Tomatoes had an exceptional 6% score for the film, every written review was incredibly damning and friends would begin to twitch just by thinking about it. This actually got me excited, but what I got far surpassed my expectations.
Some people will tell you this film is a travesty to the series, an abortion of cinema and the final nail in M. Night’s coffin. However, I’ve set out to prove it’s the perfection of his craft. Continue reading

Game Review: Spiderman Shattered Dimensions (Xbox360 & PS3)
The superhero game is a funny specimen indeed. Mostly these games are crap attempts at raping a quick buck from the public with a tie-in related to some blockbuster holiday movie. Rarely are they done well with a few shining moments of awesome like Batman : Arkham Asylum, Spider-Man 2, X-Men Origins : Wolverine and (arguably) The Darkness, but even the crap ones tend to have ONE good thing about them. Usually, everything else in the game is terrible. So anytime I hear there’s a new game with a dude in spandex running around town being all goody-two-shoes, I prepare myself for the worst.
Spiderman : Shattered Dimensions is not tied to a movie or even a comic book series but has a whole new story made for this game. Essentially, the very fabric of space time continueum has been disrupted by a Spidey bad guy called Mysterio which sends ripples through the alternate realities of Spider-Man’s world, affecting the “Amazing Spider-Man” universe, the “Ultimate Spider-Man” universe, the “Noir Spider-Man” universe and the “2099 Spider-Man” universe and your friend, Madam Web, helps the 4 different Spidermen to put things right. Confused yet? To be honest, you tend to forget the story as they tell it because it’s just boring and too complicated to remember really. But story isn’t everything, right? Continue reading
