New The Walking Dead Behind The Scenes Video

This just popped up today and it just makes me all the more eager to see this series. I recommend the comic book of ‘The Walking Dead’ to everyone, not only is it a fine comic book but it is also a magnificent piece of literature. After Halloween I hope to be able to recommend this great looking series to everyone too. I trust Frank Darabont, the writer and director of the series, to deliver the goods. This is the man who gave us ‘The Mist’, ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ and ‘The Green Mile’. Here he is working with stellar source material so we should be in for a fun ride. I also have a lot of faith in the network, AMC, as they are producing some amazing stuff at the moment including ‘Mad Men’. They are quickly becoming the third channel after HBO and Showtime. Enjoy the video.

With the 100th episode milestone, we reformatted the video shows and re-did the opening title sequences. So here are those video clips so you know what we are watching during the music. One thing to note: Film Actually has a different clip at the beginning of each show, this one is from episode 100. The clip on this one is from the Rob Reiner film ‘The Sure Thing’. Continue reading

Geek Actually After Show Ep100 – The 100th

Hosted by: David McVay, Josh Philpott, Celine Roberts, Nicholas McVay and many more

Welcome to the Geek Actually After Show. This un-stuctured and un-planned podcast is what what you get after we finish recording the two main shows Tech Actually and Film Actually. We basically just leave the mics on and record whatever we feel like talking about. This show gives us a chance to talk about anything that didn’t fit into the format of the main shows.

This week we are celebrating our 100th episode by taking a look back on some choice bits from past episodes and talking to past guests. Joining David, Josh, Celine and Nicholas via Skype is Katrina Smith, Mirren Lee and Jacob Oberman. Clips include Mirren meeting Dave Kozicki for the first time, our 2008 Christmas special, a montage of all our past guests and a package of clips where we were reduced to tears laughing. For our audio listeners, all the video clips are on our YouTube channel youtube.com/mcvayd. Continue reading
