Trailer: The Last Exorcism

Well, I had never heard of this film until today, but here is the pretty effective trailer of the new Eli Roth production, ‘The Last Exorcism’. The film is directed by Daniel Stamm and written by Huck Botko & Andrew Gurland. It stars a cast of relative unknowns including Ashley Bell, Patrick Fabian, Iris Bahr, Jamie Alyson Caudle and Shanna Forrestall. Lionsgate will release the film in August 2010.

The plot according to IMDB is, “A troubled evangelical minister agrees to let his last exorcism be filmed by a documentary crew.” Now this could go in two ways, it could be really interesting like ‘Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon’ or it could be really boring and over rated like ‘Paranormal Activity’ or ‘The Blair Witch Project’. We shall wait and see.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaces Megan Fox in Transformers 3

A vapid model with a blank expression and vacant stare, it must be the new female lead cast by Michael Bay!

Deadline reports that Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been cast in ‘Transformers 3’. I guess I was right in my earlier post, Michael Bay really does cast with his penis!

I don’t believe Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is playing the same character, but she is the new love interest for Shia LaBeouf (something else for him to apologise for?). Interesting that she has that same vacant, ‘I’m awake, but I look asleep’ look in her eyes as Megan Fox, but can she act? Who knows, but Megan Fox couldn’t and she got the role so Rosie should fit right in. Continue reading

Inception Trailer Music – Cool!

If you are like me? Do you love film music? If so, you might get a kick out of this. Here is the complete track used in the ‘Inception’ trailer for your listening pleaseure. It is a great piece of music called ‘Mind Heist’ written by Zack Hemsey. If this track isn’t inspired by Hans Zimmer’s score I really hope Zimmer takes a cue from it in the final film’s music. Enjoy. Is the ‘Logan’s Run’ remake back on track?

A remake of ‘Logan’s Run’ has been in the works for the better part of two decades, the last attempt was in 2004 and was to be directed by Bryan Singer. Now it looks like Warner Bros. is making another try as a new director, Carl Rinsch, is in talks to take the project on.

Carl Rinsch is a very successful commercials director and, you may remember, was the original director who was supposed to direct the ‘Alien’ prequel before Ridley Scott took it over. He gained a huge amount of notoriety in Hollywood when he took part in, electronics giant, Philip’s short film experiment Parallel Lines. His entry, ‘The Gift’ became an instant success (you can watch it below). Hollywood execs even want to adapt it into a feature film and now Rinsch is aiming for a career in features. As well as the ‘Alien’ prequel, Rinsch is involved in a film called ’47 Ronin’ for Universal. The question now is, which film will mark his feature debut, ‘Small’ (the feature project based on ‘The Gift’), ’47 Ronin’ or ‘Logan’s Run’? Continue reading

Trailer: Morning Glory

Here is the new trailer for the J. J. Abrams produced comedy ‘Morning Glory’ directed by Roger Michell (‘Notting Hill’, ‘Changing Lanes’). The film stars Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Jeff Goldblum and Patrick Wilson. The film looks like a lot of fun and I love the cast. You can watch the trailer below.

The synopsis is:

Produced by J.J. Abrams and written by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada), director Roger Michell’s comedic glimpse into the cutthroat world of live television finds a desperate female news producer (Rachel McAdams) attempting to put out the flames between an anchorman (Harrison Ford) and his blustery but iconic cohost (Diane Keaton) in a last-ditch effort to save their failing morning show. Jeff Goldblum co-stars in the Paramount Pictures production. – Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
