David, Katrina and Mirren review Richard Curtis’ new film, “The Boat That Rocked”, and it does!

Later David is joined by Nicholas (The Little Geek) McVay for a look at “Race to Witch Mountain” and “Monsters Vs Aliens”. Both films get the Geek’s vote of approval.

No Show This Week

Hi All,

Just a quick note to inform our loyal listeners that there won’t be an episode of the “Geek, Actually” podcast this week. Due to some small technical issues (the studio has been overwhelmed with junk and I can barely see the sound desk) we are not recording this week. I’ll get the studio worked out over the next few days and we will be back next week for a great show.

Planned for the next show, a deep analysis of Alex Proyas’ new film “Knowing” by myself and Katrina Smith and Jacob Oberman and I continue our composer profiles by looking at the work of James Horner (Titanic, 48hrs, Star Trek 2 & 3, Aliens, Apollo 13 just to name a few).

New Podcast Feed Coming Soon

In a couple of months we are changing the feed permanently to our new Feedburner feed (it is for tracking stats and Podtrac purposes). We have already set this new feed up and all our iTunes traffic is getting its information from there already. So if you use iTunes, do nothing. If you do not use iTunes as your feed reader for podcasts, can you please update your feed to: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/GeekActually

At the moment both feeds are active but in a couple of months we will be dropping the Podbean feed. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
