Before That Christmas Party, Get an iBreath

If you love your iPod or iPhone and you love a few drinks, you need iBreath!

The new breathalyser attachment is available online from the US for US$79. The user simple connects it to their iproduct and blow into the fold out “blow wand” for 5 seconds. Results are delivered in about 2 seconds.

Reports are showing that it is fairly accurate but experts warn that alcohol affects everyone differently.

As an added bonus the device doubles as a wireless FM transmitter and comes with a car attachment.

Russell Crowe Losing Weight for Robin Hood

Russell Crowe is trying very hard to lose 50 pounds to play two roles in Ridley Scott’s new film, “Nottingham”. Crowe put on the weight for Scott’s last film “Body of Lies” and now has to lose it and get in shape so he can play Robin and the Sheriff of Nottingham in the new Robin Hood film.

He, apparently, has also been practicing the Long Bow on his NSW property.

“There’s no point in making a second best Robin Hood film. We have to do it with the thought in mind that we’ve got the chance of making the best Robin Hood movie ever,” says Crowe.

Agora NOT G1 as First Google Phone in Australia

This was an interesting little bit of information. Apparently we, in Australia, are not getting the G1 Google phone. Kogan Technologies in Australia has manufactured the Agora phone running the Google Android operating system. The phone is suppose to be launched on the 15th of December.

I had heard that the G1 was coming out here (currently only available in the US and Europe) but I guess plans have changed.

News.com.au reports that the Agora is the second handset to run the Android system. Click the link to read the whole article.

One can only hope that the Agora has better battery life than the G1.

Geek Actually Episode 17 – Crikey

Geek ActuallyHosts: David McVay and Jacob Oberman (with a special appearance by Nicholas McVay)

This week, Mirren is sick but David tells Jacob all about Baz Lurhmann’s Australia. What went right and what went wrong. Can you see US$130 Million on screen? Jacob finally sees the Coen’s Burn After Reading and we can get his opinions on that.

We run through a selection of film and tech news including Lindsay Lohan being kicked off Facebook, George Miller’s involvement in Justice League, a new Planet of the Apes movie, casting Thor and much much more.

Also, getup.org has mounted a huge campaign to stop the Australian internet censorship policy.

Nicholas passes the studio so we drag him in too.

This episode carries an explicit tag due to possible, infrequent, bad language.
