Episode 13 Delayed Until Thursday

Just a quick note to tell you loyal listeners that I am delaying the next episode by a couple of days because of the US Federal Election. We normally record on Monday and release Tuesday (we have been on Wednesday for the last couple of weeks, sorry) but due to the US Federal Election on Tuesday (Wednesday our time) we are going to record on Wednesday (our time) and release Thursday for this week only.

Why? Well, I think that is obvious, I want to be able to talk about the election outcome on the show and I don’t want to have to wait a week to do it.

Look for the show on Thursday (Australian Time, so for the US listeners that is Wednesday), it should be a doozy!

U.S. Kath & Kim Survives Against All Odds

I don’t get it, The U.S. remake of the Australian series Kath & Kim just got picked up for a full season!

This terrible remake that is probably one of the most unfunny sitcoms I have ever seen seems to have survived the axe for now. The show has already been taken off Australian TV and the ratings in the States have been poor, but for some reason NBC has confidence in the series. Do they really have so little material laying around NBC that they have to persist with this garbage?

Well, we’ll see how this progresses. For a deeper analysis on this listen to our netcast/podcast this week, we will be discussing this and many other hot topic items.

Greta Goes Out This Weekend

What the hell is Greta I hear you cry!

Greta is our new, for lack of a better word, Geek Actually mascot. She is a geek dream of beauty. I am going to release a bunch of wallpapers for your computers so you don’t forget to listen to Geek, Actually. For the girls out there, I hope you enjoy Greta too. We might come up with a male geek god at sometime but for the moment Greta will do.

Greta is a poser creation and is using lots of props and clothes made by some very talented people, when she launches, I will list a few of these creative souls.

New Valkyrie Photos – Is It Finally Coming Out?!?!

Okay, on the last episode of the netcast (podcast) we mentioned Valkyrie and we basically bagged it out and said that it is a disaster waiting to be released. Well United Artist has released 4 new images from the film and announced a final trailer for tomorrow. The film is scheduled for a December 26th release, that date kept moving around but it looks like we have a lock now.
