Super 8 Day: Extended Clip

Paramount Pictures Australia has made this great extended clip from J.J. Abrams’ “Super 8” available. The scene is from early in the film and it should it should serve as a nice primer to get you ready to see the whole film. Watch this clip and then go see what I think could turn out to be my favourite film of the year. “Super 8” is now playing across Australia.

Seriously Badass Clip From “Green Lantern”

A new clip has surfaced for director Martin Campbell’s “Green Lantern” starring Ryan Reynolds and it rocks. It is part of the big climactic fight between Parallax and Hal “Green Lantern” Jordan and it really shows off the power rings abilities. I’m getting pretty jazzed about this film. “Green Lantern” opens across Australia August 4th.

Super 8 Day: New Trailer

Today is the day that “Super 8” hits the cinema here in Australia and I couldn’t let that just roll by without reminding you about my review or the roundtable discussion we participated in with director J.J. Abrams. If you haven’t done so, click the links above and check those out.

Now on to the real meat of the post, a new trailer and poster have been released at the zero hour to promote the film and I thought I’d share them with you because I don’t the trailer but I love the poster (more on the poster at the bottom). I thought the last trailer perfectly captured the spirit and tone of this film and this new trailer makes it look more like a sci-fi horror film which it is not. New Trailer: Fright Night

A new trailer for the remake of “Fright Night” has surfaced and we finally get to see David Tennant as Peter Vincent. Unfortunately I still think the film is going to suck, no pun intended. For my opinions on this remake read this article.

Here is the new trailer, hopefully this stays alive as it looks a little pirated. I’ll keep my eyes open for a more permanent version.

Teaser Trailer: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1

Aaargh! It hurts my heart to have to post this, but here it is, the first teaser for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1”. Yes, you read that correctly, part 1. That means we have to sit through, like “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1”, another half movie. I hate this trend in Hollywood and they should just stop it now. Make the film longer if you have to, Twilight fans, like Harry Potter fans, are crazy and will sit through a three hour movie. Okay, rant over.

On to the trailer. If you are a Twilight fan (I’m not), you will immediately click and watch, good for you. For the rest of us, take a deep breath and click play or just move on. This is a wedding I am not really that interested in attending, but I’m sure I will.

“The Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn Part 1” opens across Australia November 17th if you are interested.

Uncensored “Duke Nukem Forever” Trailer Rocks!

Okay, I loved “Duke Nukem 3D” and I have waited for “Duke Nukem Forever”, like the rest of the world, for years and years. I spoke to Nathan from RawDLC last night and it almost broke my heart to hear that the game, in his opinion, is not very good. I have the Balls of Steel edition on pre-order and I started wondering if I could get my pre-order money back.

Then I saw this uncensored trailer for the game and my heart was filled with glee again. We also heard this week that it has passed the Australian censors with an MA15+ rating with no cuts. That’s right, we will be playing the same Duke as everyone else. All the blood, boobs and foul language is intact! Now I am back in the ‘I can’t wait camp’.

Come on June 10th, get here already I need to re-enter Duke’s world. Hail to the king baby!
